About Us

Spires CC is a Cycling Ireland affiliated cycling club based in Magherafelt that caters for leisure cyclists, road racing, and time-trials. The club was formed in 2009 and grown steadily since then to have almost 100 members. Members can avail of three planned group cycles per week in the summer reducing to two over the winter period. These cycles are further broken down into various smaller groups based on ability.

We offer regular organised leisure and training cycles with an emphasis on building fitness while enjoying the great outdoors. Spires CC will also assist members in achieving their training goals by possibly joining race training groups aimed at competitive road racing and time trials. Alternatively, we have groups with long distance events in mind such as century cycles or longer sportives. We also have a leisure cycling group for those who just want to cycle for fitness, health and wellbeing or those who are new to cycling.

The club is based in Magherafelt and welcomes new members from the District or from further afield. We have several coaches within the club and we are keen to develop new members of all ages and abilities.

We cycle from Rainey Old Boys Rugby club, just off the Ballyronan Road

We welcome new members – email us at : [email protected] to arrange a meeting with one of our committee members or to get more information about Spires Cycling Club. Alternatively look us up or message us on Facebook.
